It can be overwhelming to process all of the health and wellness content 👩🏻‍💻 that is available to us. And sometimes it seems like we couldn’t possibly do it all anyway, so why even bother 🤷🏼‍♂️, you know?


Pictures of people doing ‘perfect’ yoga 🤸🏽‍♀️ poses, meditating 🧘 serenely, eating fresh, vibrant salads 🥗, staring lovingly at their partner 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩...

Who can live like that all of the time? 🫣


We read wellness advice 📖 like this from ‘experts’ 🧑🏻‍💼 and feel like we can’t live up to these ideals, but guess what?



~Yoga teachers lose their patience 😤


~Meditation practitioners get frustrated 😩


~Dietitians eat cookies 🍪


~Relationship experts experience break-ups 💔



These professionals aren’t living up to these ideals 💯 % of the time, either. None of us is perfect 😇. We’re all humans doing the best we can, when we can, how we can.


Having the tools 🛠️ and knowledge 🧑🏿‍🏫 available to us, however, can make a world 🌍 of difference. Especially when we use them consistently. When we know better, we can do better, and we can get back on track more efficiently.

Keep progressing

It’s not about making the ‘best’ choice every single time or obsessing over it if we don’t; it’s about recognizing 🤓 how we feel when we make different choices and learning 🏫 from that.


Real-Life Examples

Got frustrated and yelled 🗣️ at your kids 🧒🏼👦🏻 even though you knew you could’ve handled the situation more compassionately 💗? Don’t beat yourself up 👊🏼 over the incident. Learn from that experience. Talk to your kids about it. Next time, choose differently.


Binged on snacks 🍟🍩 instead of eating the salad 🥗 you had planned on for dinner? It’s ONE meal. It won’t wreak havoc on your health. Learn 🫡 from your experience. Next time, choose differently.

Show yourself compassion 💓 and grace as you navigate what it means to live a life of wellness. A life of wellness 🌿 is a series of mindful daily decisions, not the pursuit of perfection. Don’t give up after one perceived ‘mistake’.
